Chapter One (24/10/2020)

In a rough and ready Inn somewhere in Sierrona five strangers all awake to find a would-be dispatcher standing over them. In their own ways they manage to over-power, evade or kill each assassins; some with might, others with cunning. Somewhat confused and untrusting they gather in the bar to find a smartly dressed and confident halfing dressed in a blue suit with a feather in his hat. Teleporting behind the bar he introduces himself as Remmi, representative of one of the town’s many cartels. He hands out drinks and invite the strangers to band together to earn some gold, explaining the assassins were just a test of the groups skills. Maybe just due to sleep depravation or maybe the promise of gold the group agree to take on the halfling’s challenge - Rescue Galvin, a risk to the cartel due to the information he knows has found himself captured by the rival Voodist cartel. For the sum of 500 gold the group were to rescue Galvin and safely escort him out of the city.

On arriving at the Voodist stronghold the newly formed band of adventurers manage to combine their skills to over-power the guards. They worked together, discovering ways to use their skills to help each other, creating cunning distractions, communing with animals and hitting some striking blows the Vooldist guards were no match and Galvin was, hesitantly, freed. Unsure of the motives behind his rescue he follows our heroes to the East docks of the city, using a little bribery and a little deception the group manage to reach the docks, not before encountering a few unusual circumstances along the way. The first being an overheard conversation of an old, fat, balding man who was referred to as Mr Zanizar(?) in fear by a man called Salter(?). Salter(?) was telling Zanizar that he was close to “cracking it” for his employer and that he was fearful for the safety of his daughter, Miasari(?). Shortly after this the group found themselves in self-proclaimed “pirate territory” and having to pay a fee to pass, begrudgingly and feeling the pressure of time the group paid the toll and so we’re caught up to the dockside.

After sending a grateful Galvin off to seek refuse with family outside of the city the group was feeling proud of helping Galvin see his happy just as Remmi appears from nowhere to congratulate the group on a job well done and pay the reward. Remmi explains there may well be more work for such a competent group in the future and he was impressed with their abilities. Remy disappears in a flourish, the same way he came in - not before finishing off poor Galvin with an un-ceremonial blast of fire; Galvin's punishment for getting caught.

The group seemingly realise they’ve made more money as a group this night than they have alone in a long time and as dawn starts to break the group take take first real look at another another and finally make some brief introductions. They decide to stick together for a while and see if this could turn in to a fruitful venture, they decide to lay low for a few days to let the heat from their recent escapades die down in a local Inn.
