Member of a prominent family but ousted as he rose through the ranks, only trusted his cousin, Massinissa.
Left home (the Underdark) to seek out power and ways to succeed in his family line; meeting up with the group he adventured with the group as the members changed over time he softened, just a little, to his new companions.
Having a friendly competition with Lotty over who saved who's life most often they become good friends, even after Elric read the Demononicon and started to be infected by it's evil influence Lotty and the group still want to see the good in their friend.
One day Elric did not show up for breakfast beers and the group have not been able to find him since although there have been reports of Elric killing people who he previously considers may have wronged him.
The Ashen Company knows that Elric must be stopped but their love for their friend is holding out hope that he can be saved.
Eventually Kel, Cade & Lotty a are able to track Elric down, get him the help he needs from the Divine Pansophical (a favour from the Knight Commander). Elric was thankfully cured but the toll of his dark deeds was a heavy burden. Unable to get past everything that happened and not wanting to cause future problems for the Ashen Company he returns to the Underdark to his people to find some measure of peace there.
