Act 3, Chapter 3 "The Decent to the cultists..."

We return to the Allen family farm (same farm where Vai captured Geshut?), covered in a mysterious fog, where the Ashen Company had just vanquished several undead and captured a necromancer alive, but unconscious.  The necromancer was tied up and searched.

Kel had found a spell book, but when he opened it it exploded with a circle of death spell much like the Sword did from Delosius' family friend.  In the margins of the spell book was notes of how to cast effectively and a letter was used as a book mark that read "Harvest the crop in Beinya, he is hungry!"

Null searched the necromancer's body for both a tattoo on the back of her neck as well as for the fireball bead that agents of the Marionetist have.  Fortunately neither were there, however it was discovered that this necromancer had a tattoo on her chest that reminded Cade of what Elric told him of the Cult of Daes.

Cade wakes up the necromancer with a healing spell.  Outside of the name Syll, the group got nothing from her playing the classic good cop/good cop interrogation technique.  She did proclaim that she is the "Pinnacle of all creation"

Syll managed to mistystep out of her bonds and started running.  The group gave chase and Cade summoned a wolf to chase her down and knock her prone; unfortunately the wolf killed her in the process.  Silas went to the body and decapitated her head to take back to the Reapers Guild, when a spirit flew out of the necromancer's body and screamed "I will play with you all you want, but you will never get down below" then started casting spells at the Ashen Company.  Syll's spirit managed to summon some more undead but the party prevailed and vanquished them.

To investigate what Syll meant previously by "...down below" the Ashen Company went into the farm house and searched for anything suspicious.  Kel found a hold in the floor and lead downward into an underground tunnel.  At the end of the tunnel was a large skull with emerald eyes over a doorway with a series of jagged teeth blocking any passage way through the doorway.  The skull reminded the group of the iconography of the Fallen God Daes The Deceiver.  Null decided to try and prick her finger on one of the jagged teeth; when the blood touched the tooth they all pulled away and the passage opened.

As the party moved into the vestibule past the door, they heard voices talking about not expecting anyone to return yet.  A single cultist guard came to investigate.  Thinking quickly, Null grappled him and pulled him back where he was quickly dispatched.

To try and lure the rest of the guards, Null transformed herself to look like the guard and put on his cloak.  Then started asking the other guards for help with this "strange bird" that came inside.  The bird was a summons of Cade's that he created during the fight with the spirit of Syll.  Unfortunately, the guard Null was impersonating, Naris, was not well liked or respected by the other cultists so they didn't help and the groups ambush was foiled.

The Ashen Company debated what to do but finally decided to let Null follow the guards to scout then will report back to the party.

Null entered a red stone room that was more elegant.  There were several guards there with a more well dressed cultist behind a desk.  They taunted Null a little bit and told Null she was off duty.  There were two doors in front of Null, each had a guard, and no indication of which door to enter.  Null took a quick glance at the book in front of the more well dressed cultist and noted it was a log.  They taunted Null a little more when Null just yelled out "Fuck you!  I quick" and turned to leave back down the hallway toward the rest of the party.  The well dressed cultist said "Quit?" then turned to the other guards in the room and said "go fucking kill him!"
