Hey so we're fighting Erithax in a decidedly less sexy humanoid form. Bro's still got an arsenal of unanswerable magical features with names like obscure energy drinks, such as "Punishing Duality" and "Void Blast". However, he does actually cast a spell once in awhile! Bane makes our lives pretty miserable for a couple of rounds, but Null is able to break his concentration with a card that does max Slashing damage. The fight continues for a little while, but eventually we get through Phase 2. Silas is the one who gets the killing blow, his slashes weaving an artful pattern of radiant steel into Erithax's scaly body. Buddy then doesn't have the dignity to stick around, instead fleeing through the fabric of space and time to presumably power-nap and manifest a hotter form.
So now our heroes are left on an empty ziggurat, with nothing but arcane runes and rolling darkness for company. We figure we should chase after Erithax, but also suspect that these runes will keep us from doing that successfully. It takes a few minutes of experimentation to lock down the best sequence in which to do this, but eventually the Berrik, Lotty and Flynn knock it out. Which is great, because that darkness is closing in fast. We all hold hands and Planeshift outta here and back to the Material Plane.
Once we're back and closer to the action, we all re-up our various methods of flight before moving into the crumbling, crashing ruins of Myridia. Battles rage around us and it's clear our allied forces could use a bit of help.
Berrik: Lobs the remainder of his star motes into enemy forces to provide cover for an entrenched group of allies. Adds a few Firebolts for good measure.
Null: Activates a "Rally" Fate card to allow a surrounded group of allies on their last legs the chance to instantly heal and fight on. Cracks a smile.
Lotty: Goes into the thick of a crushing melee between Zanidonians and enemies, then activates Rhone's Warcry to scatter the bad guys and give our allies some breathing room. Spots Latharial, who is missing an arm. Lotty gives her a Cure Wounds and tells L that Null is alive and fighting hard.
Silas: Summons a celestial that looks like Mordecai to lead our allies to victory.
Flynn: Swoops down to Latharial and casts True Polymorph on her, turning her into a Red Dragon. L then uses Giant's Might to double in size and begins to wreak havoc on every enemy within her considerable reach.

The tide turns! Erithax's forces are losing! I think we crash land back on land at this point?
Suddenly Phase 3 of Erithax shows up and he's massive, like "I shit continents" massive. Why didn't he just start with this form? Well, first of all Erithax lives for the drama so jot that down. Second? idk.
Anyway, Erithax does a big ol' inhale and gets ready to end all of Altisha as we know it.
HOWEVER. Time then seems to stop for everyone except the Guardians, the Dawnbringers and the Ashen Company. Null feels a pang as she thinks of Vi. This feeling dissipates rather quickly as an enormous, galaxy-sized eyeball made of radiant flame appears in the sky behind Erithax. Everyone is confused. Berrik remembers a vision he had - This is "The One Who Watches".
Well okay then. What now? We stare in awe and wait for the Eyeball to make a move.
